Job Summary
Read blueprints and schematics to mark plumbing paths, then route water supply, drain, and vent stacks in accordance with codes. Install, solder, and seal copper piping using hand and power tools, connecting systems to main valves and running vent pipes to rooflines. Identify safety issues and take corrective action while maintaining accurate project documentation. Perform overhead work and lift materials up to 50 pounds consistently in a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, floor plans, schematics, and work orders
- Proficiency using manual and power tools safely and correctly
- Knowledge of state plumbing codes
- Ability to solder copper piping
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently
- Ability to perform overhead work for extended periods
Desired Qualifications
- Previous construction, carpentry, or plumbing experience
- Experience using measuring tools and basic mathematics to calculate dimensions
