Job Summary
Read blueprints to mark plumbing paths through wall cavities, then route water supply, drain, and vent stacks per code. Install, solder, and seal copper piping with fittings, caps, and materials using hand and power tools like tubing cutters and torches. Connect systems to main water supply valves, run vent stacks to rooflines, and identify safety issues for corrective action. Demonstrate proper range hood duct installation and maintain project documentation. This role supports rough construction phase installation for Dynamic Homes, a division of Ho-Chunk, Inc., which designs customized modular homes across the Midwest.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, floor plans, schematics, and work orders
- Proficiency using manual and power tools safely and correctly
- Knowledge of state plumbing codes
- Ability to solder copper piping
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently
- Ability to perform overhead work for extended periods
- Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
- Evening work may be required based on production needs
Desired Qualifications
- Previous construction, carpentry, or plumbing experience
- Experience using measuring tools and basic mathematics to calculate dimensions
