Job Summary
Operate rotor-wing aircraft for Life Flight Network to transport critically ill or injured patients, performing pre- and post-flight inspections, flight planning, and weather analysis. Manage loading of passengers, baggage, and cargo while maintaining logs, records, and written reports. Drive personal or company vehicles throughout the service area whenever business necessitates. Work varied shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Maintain FAA Commercial Helicopter Certificate with Instrument Helicopter Rating and second-class flight physical.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2000 hours Total Time
- 1500 hours as Pilot in Command
- 1000 hours R/W Turbine time
- 75 Instrument hours total
- at least 50 hours in aircraft instrument time
- 100 hours of unaided nighttime
- Must hold a FAA Commercial Helicopter Certificate with Instrument Helicopter Rating
- Must have and maintain a FAA second class flight physical
- Travel by personal or company vehicle throughout LFN's service area
- Must hold a valid driver's license
- Have access to an automobile in good repair
- Be able to provide proof of auto insurance
- Meet LFN's Driver's Policy requirements
- Be able to travel whenever or wherever business needs necessitate
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5 years' experience as a professional pilot
- 100 hours instrument time
- Pilots with air medical transportation experience
- Pilots with NVG experience
- Mountain experience
