Job Summary
Rotor Wing Captain responsible for all aircraft operation duties, flight planning with the Pilot-in-Command, and supporting emergency medical transportation across Ontario. The role requires handling varying conditions, adherence to policies and SOPs, and potential overnight relocation near the base. Involves 12-hour shifts, overtime, and a 24/7 on-call environment with rotations that may include day, night, weekends, and holidays; candidates must meet Transport Canada requirements and possess the FAA/US travel capability as applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of secondary school
- Graduation from a certified flying or aviation school
- Valid Air Transport Pilot’s Licence (ATPL) - Helicopter issued by Transport Canada
- A minimum of 2000 hours of Rotary-wing flight experience
- A minimum of 500 hours of experience as Pilot-In-Command (PIC) of a multi-engine aircraft
- 2 years of experience in Instrument Flight Operations
- Valid Group 4 Instrument Rating
- Valid Class 1 Medical
- Ability to travel to the USA and possess/obtain a Canadian Passport
- Successful completion of the company training program and Transport Canada PPC
