Job Summary
Perform skilled maintenance, repair, and overhauls on natural gas engines and compressors, while troubleshooting system failures to ensure optimal equipment performance. Diagnose mechanical and electronic control problems using diagnostic tools and hand tools, adhering strictly to company and customer policies. Complete necessary paperwork, collaborate within the team, and maintain a professional, customer-friendly demeanor. This full-time 8-on/6-off rotational role requires living in the Cotulla, Dilley, or Pearsall area and involves flexibility for travel, shift changes, and call-outs. Candidates must possess 3-5 years of engine and compressor maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Must live in the Cotulla, Dilley, or Pearsall area
- 3-5 Years of Engine & Compressor Maintenance
- Proficiency in compressor and engine maintenance
- Basic knowledge of surface production equipment
- Strong troubleshooting skills for electronic and mechanical control problems
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools and maintain a full set of hand tools per company standards
- Willingness to travel for short and extended periods
- Flexibility to work different shifts and respond to call outs
- Excellent customer relations skills
- Willingness to attend training classes and seminars as required
- General computer skills, with the ability to use a computer as a diagnostic tool
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Extended periods of standing
- Work in various temperature conditions (hot and cold)
- Frequent lifting and/or moving of objects up to 70 pounds, with occasional lifting and/or moving of objects up to 100 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Formal vocational training preferred
- Experience with Caterpillar, Waukesha engines, Ariel, GE, and other gas compressors is a plus
- CAT Training certification preferred
