Job Summary
Inspect, disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, and reassemble rotating equipment including pumps, turbines, compressors, motors, gearboxes, and blowers. Perform precision measurements, alignment checks, and mechanical evaluations using micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Reassemble equipment according to OEM specifications and document inspection findings and repair activities. Collaborate with mechanics, engineers, and customers to complete projects while maintaining a clean shop and following all safety policies. Read blueprints and technical drawings to guide work. Minimum 3 years of mechanical repair experience required; High School diploma or GED. Competitive pay and structured on-the-job training provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years of mechanical repair, rotating equipment, or industrial maintenance experience preferred
- Experience repairing, maintaining, or rebuilding industrial equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documentation
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- TWIC card or ability to obtain one, depending on location requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, climb, and work around industrial equipment
- Ability to work in shop and industrial plant environments
- Successful completion of a background check
- Successful completion of a drug screening
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with pumps, turbines, compressors, motors, gearboxes, blowers, or similar rotating equipment
- Experience with precision alignment, balancing, bearings, seals, or vibration analysis
- Technical school training, apprenticeship, military mechanical training, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Experience working in power generation, oil and gas, petrochemical, manufacturing, or industrial maintenance environments
