Job Summary
Lead internal AI strategy and agentic AI enablement initiatives within the Information Services Department to accelerate operational transformation. Identify high-impact automation opportunities, design and deploy internal AI agents and copilots for study groups, report drafting, and knowledge workflows, and build foundational "Ask ITU AI" capabilities. Translate business needs into implementable solutions by configuring prompts, orchestration logic, and low-code automation pipelines while establishing governance guardrails and responsible AI standards. Deliver targeted enablement workshops, reusable templates, and implementation roadmaps to upskill staff and drive adoption across business units. Support agile delivery coordination with Sectors and the Transformation team, culminating in a transition package with final recommendations for scaling enterprise AI readiness.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced university degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Digital Transformation, or related field OR education from a reputed college of advanced education with a diploma of equivalent standard to that of an advanced university degree in one of the fields above
- At least eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in enterprise digital transformation, AI implementation, automation, or innovation delivery
- Demonstrated hands-on experience implementing enterprise AI and/or agentic AI solutions
- Strong practical experience developing workflow automations and productivity solutions
- Experience working with enterprise AI platforms, copilots, automation tools, APIs, and orchestration frameworks
- Proven ability to combine strategic advisory support with technical implementation and operational delivery
- Knowledge of English at advanced level
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in large international organizations, governments, UN agencies, or similarly complex environments
- Knowledge of another official language of the Union (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish)
