Job Summary
Rope Access Technician based in Houston, TX is sought to perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs in hard-to-reach areas using rope access techniques. Requires SPRAT/IRATA Certification (Level I, II or III), a valid Driver's License, and a TWIC Card. Duties include executing rope-access tasks to reach work areas, using hand and power tools for welding, rigging, and heavy equipment operation, conducting equipment/structure inspections, ensuring safety protocols, maintaining tools, documenting work, and transporting materials on construction sites. Strong mechanical background, ability to work at heights, and collaboration within a team are essential. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds and frequent movement; 4x10 schedules with occasional OT and no per diem. Education requirement is listed as no minimum.
Required Qualifications
- ASNT Level II certification preferred
- Valid TWIC card required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record (required)
- Able to pass physical exam
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to provide clear and technical guidance to other technicians and subcontractors
- 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience
