Job Summary
Install insulation on boilers, pipes, tanks, and refrigeration units using fiberglass, cork, plastic, and magnesia to reduce heat loss and deaden sound. Wire prefabricated fiberglass covering around steam and hot water piping, trowel mastic for a smooth finish, and fit thermo-block insulation around boilers and turbines. Cut insulation sections, cement wire netting over materials, and install fiberglass on ventilation systems. Perform additional assignments per supervisor direction while maintaining balance on ladders and scaffolds. Requires NCCER credentials, current Rope Access Certification, and a valid TWIC card. Minimum four years of experience in specified skills.

- Basic knowledge of Insulator hand tools
- Basic knowledge of tape measure
- Basic knowledge of cutting tools
- Basic knowledge of power tools
- Basic knowledge of fabrication equipment
- Written pre-employment qualification test
- Post-offer drug/alcohol screen
- Physical evaluation
- Hazard Communication orientation/test
