Job Summary
Deliver food and beverage orders promptly to guest rooms while ensuring presentation and service standards are met. Accurately record and process guest orders using the hotel's phone system and POS system. Set up trays and service carts according to specifications and retrieve them from guest rooms promptly. Maintain cleanliness of the room service area, storage, and equipment. Answer guest questions regarding menu offerings and provide recommendations. Follow cash handling procedures and collaborate with culinary teams to ensure order accuracy. Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations while monitoring hotel amenities. Perform additional duties as assigned to support Food & Beverage operations. This role supports The Westgate Hotel's luxury hospitality standards in a fast-paced environment requiring flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull trays and service carts weighing up to 30 pounds
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach overhead, and frequently handle serving equipment
- Ability to push and pull loaded room service carts
- Manual dexterity to safely operate serving equipment and POS systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment with frequent guest interaction
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous food service, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred
- Experience in a luxury hotel or upscale dining environment is a plus
- Experience using POS systems preferred

- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
