Job Summary
Take and deliver in-room food and drink orders, prepare itemized checks, and accept payments while maintaining high cleanliness and sanitation standards. Perform opening and closing side work, serve guests with all food and beverage requirements in a warm, friendly, and professional manner, and ensure the room service area and cafe wait station remain clean. Follow portion control and checking procedures precisely, operate the P.O.S. system, and carry out cashiering functions. Keep hallways free from debris, return room service trays to the kitchen for breakdown and bussing, and comply with state liquor laws and Aimbridge Hospitality standards. Work in a high-pressure environment requiring clear communication and quick decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- Alcohol Awareness Certification
- Food Handlers certification
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Must be able to effectively handle problems at work including the ability to anticipate, avoid, and resolve problems when necessary
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field
