Job Summary
Take and deliver in-room food and drink orders, prepare itemized checks, and accept payments while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation. Serve guests with all food and beverage requirements in a warm, friendly, and professional manner, ensuring the room service area and cafe wait station remain clean and tidy. Comply with Aimbridge Hospitality standards, including alcohol awareness and food handler certifications, and follow portion control and checking procedures precisely. Operate the P.O.S. system to carry out cashiering functions for closing checks and guest service. Ensure hallways are free from service debris and return all room service trays to the kitchen for breakdown and bussing. Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Required Qualifications
- Alcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with State regulations)
- Food Handlers certification (must comply with State regulations)
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Must be able to effectively handle problems at work including the ability to anticipate, avoid, and resolve problems when necessary
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
