Room Service Representative

The Room Service Representative takes patient meal orders for the room service program and assists with appropriate meal selections for the patient in accordance with their medically-directed diet order. Enters data into the software program, run reports, and performs other department record keeping functions. Assists with cash handling procedures in the department. Schedule includes one shift every two weeks, cross-trained between specified shifts, with every other weekend and two holidays per year. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES include using customer service to take or adjust meal orders, processing tube feeding and nourishments orders, communicating with patient and nutrition care team, preparing production and service records, supporting quality audits and training materials for dining services software, and maintaining a clean work area. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED preferred. PHYSICAL DEMANDS cover mobility and lifting up to 25 pounds.
