Job Summary
In-Room Dining Attendant delivers premium, personalized service directly to guests’ rooms/residences, taking and recording orders via phone with impeccable etiquette, upselling based on menu knowledge, coordinating with the kitchen to ensure timely preparation and delivery, and handling billing/signing at guest rooms. Responsibilities include tray and trolley setup checks, polite room delivery, explaining dishes, maintaining privacy protocols, routine floor sweeps to clear used items, strict adherence to Food Safety and Hygiene SOPs, SFDA guidelines, and personal grooming standards. Collaboration with the Hygiene Department, Chef, and supervisors via internal channels is required. Experience: 1–2 years in In-Room Dining or Food & Beverage service in a 4-5 star hotel. Education: High school diploma or hospitality certificate/degree preferred. Language: English required; Arabic highly valued. Technical: familiarity with hotel POS software and basic telephone switchboard operations. Competencies: strong communication and active listening; resilience under high-occupancy periods. Schedule flexibility including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or hospitality certificate/degree preferred
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in In-Room Dining or food & beverage service in a 4-5 star hotel
- Familiarity with hotel POS software and basic telephone switchboard operations
- Excellent command of English; Arabic language skills valued
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication and active listening skills
- Attention to food safety and hygiene standards
- Knowledge of SFDA guidelines for food handling and temperature logging
