Job Summary
Performs a variety of duties involved with patient food service. Serves meals and snacks to patients in a professional manner. Maintains PAR levels for supplies. Delivers room service menus and instructs patients on the meal ordering system. Assesses patients’ ability to utilize the meal order system. Uses computerized diet sheets, accesses patient computer system, and records intake and calorie count. Maintains HACCP compliance. Receives and processes meal orders from patients/visitors via telephone, ensuring diet order parameters. Provides appropriate menus for diets. Communicates effectively with nursing staff, nutrition techs, dietitians and call-center staff. Establishes working relationships with colleagues, evaluates quality control standards. On-the-job training provided. Shift: 7am-3:30pm; Part-time role (~24 hours/week) with minimum 48 hours every two weeks including every other weekend/holiday. PTO and health benefits eligible.
Required Qualifications
- Direct customer service experience preferred
- Previous food service experience and/or work with therapeutic diets preferred
- On-the-job training provided
