Job Summary
Take and process in-room dining orders accurately and efficiently while assisting guests with menu selections and providing knowledgeable food and beverage recommendations. Monitor order flow to ensure timely preparation and delivery, then dispatch servers or bussers for deliveries and tray retrieval. Communicate guest orders, requests, and changes clearly with culinary and room service teams, and follow up to confirm satisfaction with food quality and service. Maintain accurate in-room dining tracking logs and control records, ensuring correct billing and posting of all charges. Respond to guest concerns professionally and adhere to safety and sanitation standards. Regular attendance is required, and you may be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of food and beverage terminology
- Ability to learn and apply upselling techniques
- Strong guest service skills
- Excellent telephone etiquette
- Proficiency with computer systems and office or communication equipment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Regular attendance in conformance with standards
- Ability to work varying schedules to reflect business needs
- Ability to attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings
