Job Summary
Handle guest inquiries, book room reservations, and quote rates to maximize revenue and average rate using Aimbridge Hospitality standards. Answer incoming calls promptly, communicate with the Sales Department regarding group bookings, and update Central Reservations on availability while maintaining accurate files and reports. Manage special reservations including V.I.P. packages, compile information for Rooms Merchandising meetings, and monitor daily sales activity to alert management of sold-out nights or ceiling status. Complete forecasts as required and perform duties as a Reservations Agent or assist at the front desk as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a hotel or a related field
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Must be effective at listening to understanding and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
- Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
- Must maintain composure and objectivity while under pressure
