Job Summary
Handle guest inquiries, answer incoming calls, and book room reservations while quoting rates to maximize revenue and average rate per Aimbridge Hospitality standards. Book and block rooms using company guidelines for group lists, manage V.I.P. packages, and update central reservations on availability calendars. Communicate with the Sales Department on group bookings, compile data for Rooms Merchandising meetings, and monitor daily sales activity to alert management of sold-out nights or ceiling status. Maintain accurate files, complete forecasts, and perform duties as a Reservations Agent or assist at the front desk as requested.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a hotel or a related field
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Must be effective at listening to understanding and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
- Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
- Must maintain composure and objectivity while under pressure
