Job Summary
Cleans assigned patient and public areas daily, including collecting trash, sanitizing surfaces, stocking supplies, and assisting with linen handling in a healthcare facility. Utilizes bed management tracking via hand-held technology, operates cleaning equipment and cleaning/trash carts, and adheres to infection control/isolation procedures. Documents work performed, accesses ancillary units/restrooms/offices, and disposes of biohazardous waste when applicable. Requires English communication and basic computer skills, with a focus on maintaining a clean, safe environment and providing excellent customer service to patients and staff. Night shift, full-time, Lenexa, KS facility.
Required Qualifications
- High School Grad or Equiv (Education)
- Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets and product labels
- Ability to interact with patients and provide customer service
- Knowledge of infection control and isolation procedures
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and cleaning/trash carts
- Basic computer skills and ability to use standard office software
- Knowledge of safety instructions and ability to follow written and oral assignments
- Experience in healthcare environmental services preferred
- Must be able to communicate in English
- Ability to maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition
