Job Summary
Prepare guest rooms and public areas to the highest standards, ensuring all specified zones are cleaned and presented within allocated timeframes. Replace mini-bar glasses, mugs, and cutlery; handle guest belongings, property, and personal items with security and discretion. Process laundry, dry cleaning, and pressing; assist with packing, room moves, and garment repairs. Report maintenance or cleanliness issues through correct channels and follow through to ensure rectification. Complete audits of occupied and departure rooms, inspect and return rooms in accordance with service standards, and maintain tidy service areas. Clean guest toilets, nearby public areas, corridors, staircases, and lifts. Liaise with security over guest item concerns, ensure required items are replenished, and accurately record and charge all items. Work 40 hours Monday to Sunday across various shifts, including weekends and evenings.
Required Qualifications
- Frequently kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, reaching, standing and walking
- The ability to prioritise and organise yourself
- Able to work under pressure and at high speed
- Warm, enthusiastic and positive personality with the ability to build trusting relationships with others
- Can do attitude and able to adapt to changes
- Problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail
- Highly responsible and able to follow directions thoroughly, whilst also able to work independently with little supervision
- Flexibility. Working 40 hours Monday to Sunday. Able to work different shifts (weekends, morning and/or evening) and able to assist with longer hours if needed
Desired Qualifications
- 1-year of minimum experience in the hospitality industry is preferred. And 6 months minimum in housekeeping
- Outstanding communication skills
