Job Summary
Retrieve items from shelves, set up cleaning carts, and maintain supplies in an orderly fashion. Clean and wipe windows, doors, walls, and fixtures, often using ladders to reach hard-to-access areas. Wash restrooms, replace towels and amenities, and wash hard floors by hand. Strip beds, check linens for soil, and vacuum carpets including underneath furniture. Inspect door locks, room equipment, and report maintenance deficiencies to the Executive Housekeeper. Secure keys and supplies, and perform other duties as assigned. Requires ability to lift up to 50lbs. and work in a climate-controlled indoor environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must have basic knowledge of general cleaning principles
- Must have basic knowledge of use of cleaning products
- Must have basic knowledge of operation of standard cleaning equipment
- Must be able to understand and follow verbal/written instructions
- Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. continually throughout a shift
- Must be able to push, pull and move levers, equipment and furniture throughout a shift
- Must be able to work with arms raised above head throughout a shift
- Must be able to maneuver fully loaded maid cart, weighing up to 50lbs., through hallways and into/out of closets during entire work day
- Must be able to identify minute debris and dirt in poorly lit areas
- Must be able to read written instructions and computer print-outs
