Job Summary
Conduct daily room cleaning, ensuring bathrooms are stocked, beds are made with clean linens, and floors are vacuumed and mopped. Dust walls, windows, and sliding doors while removing trash, debris, and foreign particles from furniture and fixtures. Stock linen carts with supplies and tools, then return and restock at shift's end. Anticipate guest needs by promptly responding to service requests and monitoring cleanliness of hallways, stairwells, and public areas. Report maintenance issues and remove items needing removal such as refrigerators or rollaways. Complete special deep cleaning projects and replace guestroom items per SOPs. Turn over lost and found items to the supervisor and adhere to safety, security, and OSHA chemical standards. Lift and carry up to 50 pounds while working flexible shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 months experience in housekeeping or relevant experience
- Must be able to prioritize and work efficiently with limited supervision
- Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task efficiently
- Must be able to speak and understand and communicate the primary language(s) used in the workplace
- Must possess excellent communication, follow up, and organizational
- Must have the ability to push, pull bend, squat and lift on a regular basis up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up
- Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment
- Follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest's service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
- Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors, and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneel
- Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily
