Job Summary
Clean assigned rooms and suites by making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and washing windows. Strip dirty linens, stock supplies from the main cart, and ensure all areas meet high 4 or 5-star standards. Report maintenance deficiencies and guest requests immediately to maintain compliance. Greet guests with friendly acknowledgment and deliver requested amenities. Work weekends and maintain physical stamina to lift up to 25 lbs while ensuring room security. Assist co-workers and manage inventory to support hotel operations.
Required Qualifications
- Available to work weekends
- Passion for housekeeping
- Responsible for the overall cleanliness of assigned rooms/suites
- Reports maintenance issues to maintain rooms/suites in compliance with standards
- Clean rooms/suites, as assigned, which includes making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, and washing windows/tracks
- Reports rooms as clean and available
- Reports maintenance deficiencies to maintain rooms in compliance with hotel standards
- Strip dirty linens/towels and remove used amenities from room/suite
- Check main cart/closet for supplies, stock as needed
- Greet guests immediately with friendly/sincere acknowledgment
- Clean balconies
- Respond to special requests by guests (such as providing extra amenities or service time)
- Provide customer service to guests, including information about hotel services, activities, and local attractions
- Assist co-workers, as requested
- Stock and sort supplies
- Deliver and retrieve items/extra amenities on loan to guests e.g. ironing and ironing boards
- Ensure the security of guest rooms
- High quality work in a 4 or 5-star hotel
- Good practical and technical skills
- The ability to work quickly and under pressure
- An awareness of health and safety legislation
- Physical mobility and stamina required
- Ability to follow instruction
- Detail-oriented
- A professional attitude is required
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent time management skills
- Be able to lift at least 25 lbs (pounds)
