Job Summary
Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, windows, and floor surfaces; strip and make beds, changing linens weighing up to 40 pounds; dust furniture and check under beds for debris; push and pull vacuum throughout the room, empty trash, and replenish amenities. Sign for keys, retrieve carts weighing up to 150 pounds, and visually inspect rooms for cleanliness before signifying completion. Report all repairs or maintenance problems to a supervisor and greet guests in hallways to confirm their enjoyment of the stay. Respond timely to guest requests for items, safety instructions, or assistance, and report suspicious persons, activities, or hazardous conditions immediately. Maintain cleanliness of public spaces including lobby, restrooms, offices, elevators, and stairways as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to push or pull equipment weighing up to 150 pounds
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing an average of 25-50 pounds
- Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms over head to perform cleaning tasks, and work in confined spaces
- Ability to communicate effectively with other associates, as well as guests
- Ability to follow instructions, directions, and meet deadlines
- Basic ability to comprehend the English language sufficient to understand information such as labels and instructions and basic guest requests
- Must be available for varying schedules, weekends, holidays and overtime
- Must be able to attend group and/or department meetings in addition to the work shift as necessary
- Must maintain a neat, clean and well groomed appearance
