Job Summary
Clean bathtubs, toilets, sinks, and floors while stripping and making beds, lifting linens up to 40 pounds. Dust furniture, vacuum rooms, and replenish amenities. Push carts weighing 150 pounds, sign for keys, and visually inspect guest rooms for cleanliness and repairs. Greet guests in hallways and respond to requests for items or assistance. Maintain public spaces including lobbies, restrooms, and elevators. Report suspicious activity, hazardous conditions, or maintenance issues to supervisors. Turn in found items to Lost and Found. Work seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day, rotating weekends and holidays to meet hospitality business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to push or pull equipment weighing up to 150 pounds
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing an average of 25-50 pounds
- Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms over head to perform cleaning tasks, and work in confined spaces
- Ability to communicate effectively with other associates, as well as guests
- Ability to follow instructions, directions, and meet deadlines
- Basic ability to comprehend the English language sufficient to understand information such as labels and instructions and basic guest requests
- Must be available for varying schedules, weekends, holidays and overtime
- Must be able to attend group and/or department meetings in addition to the work shift as necessary
- Must maintain a neat, clean and well groomed appearance
- Must comply with the standards, rules and regulations which may be established by the Company and updated from time to time
- Must be able to sign for keys, retrieve, push cart weighing up to 150 pounds
- Must be able to visually inspect rooms for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion of room
- Must be able to report all repairs or maintenance problems to supervisor
- Must be able to greet guests in hallways or in passing, ask if they are enjoying their stay
- Must be able to respond in a timely manner to guests requests for items such as an iron, safety instructions, assistance, direction, and/or other information as requested
- Must be able to report all suspicious persons, activities or hazardous and unsafe conditions to a supervisor or manager
- Must be able to turn in all items found to the property Lost and Found Department
- Must be able to clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, windows and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents by extending arms over head, bending and stooping
- Must be able to spot clean stains on walls, doors, carpet and furniture
- Must be able to strip and make beds, changing bed linens which may require lifting bedspreads weighing a maximum of 40 pounds
- Must be able to change all bed linen including bed skirt, mattress topper and pillow protector as needed
- Must be able to dust all furniture, pictures, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly
- Must be able to check under bed to remove trash or other debris
- Must be able to maintain cleanliness of public space, i.e.: lobby, public restrooms, offices, elevators and stairways as assigned
- Must be able to push and pull vacuum throughout entire room and empty trash
- Must be able to replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest rooms
- Must be able to ask if they are enjoying their stay
- Must be able to perform a combination of the following supportive functions
- Must be able to clean rooms
- Must be able to assist Room Attendants
- Must be able to cross train when necessary
