Job Summary
Perform cleaning duties to maintain hotel rooms in a clean and orderly manner, including making beds, replenishing linens, and vacuuming. Unload and load the housekeeping cart with supplies, replace cleaning materials, and keep carts neat and stocked. Report maintenance repairs, unsafe conditions, and guest requests to the supervisor while recording lost and found items. Adhere to brand-standard cleaning times, recognized time frames, and all safety procedures regarding fumes, chemicals, and physical demands. Maintain regular attendance and punctuality while treating others with respect. Prior housekeeping experience is helpful.
Required Qualifications
- Must pass criminal background check
- Prior housekeeping experience helpful
- Ability to communicate with guests as well as management and team members
- Ability to work under time constraints, and in a fast-paced environment
- Work within recognized time frame appropriate to the task
- Follow all safety procedures
- Meets or exceeds productivity standards
- Lift and carry average weight of 20lbs frequently, maximum weight frequently 50lbs
- Standing/walking up to two miles per day on cement, tile, asphalt, and carpet
- Reaching/overhead extension to pull items down. Pushing and pulling average weight frequently 50lbs, maximum weight 150lbs
- Repetitive motions of bending, kneeling, stooping, and twisting
- Must adhere to the Hotel's safety standards and procedures (i.e., hearing, eye, hand protection for equipment operation)
- Regular and reliable attendance and punctuality
- Treating others with respect and behaving in a manner that is positive, productive and encourages teamwork at all times
- Effectively manage time (e.g., time spent per room, planning, prioritizing)
