Job Summary
Perform cleaning duties to maintain hotel rooms in a clean and orderly manner. Make beds, replenish linens, and clean rooms, bathrooms, and halls while vacuuming. Unload and load housekeeping carts with supplies, replace cleaning materials, and keep carts neat and stocked. Report problems, maintenance repairs, unsafe conditions, and guest requests to supervisors. Record lost and found items and complete cross-training duties as assigned. Adhere to brand standards for cleaning times, maintain punctuality, and work within recognized time frames. Lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 150 lbs maximum, standing or walking up to two miles daily. Treat others with respect and follow all safety procedures, including hearing, eye, and hand protection.
Required Qualifications
- Must pass criminal background check
- Prior housekeeping experience helpful
- Ability to communicate with guests as well as management and team members
- Ability to work under time constraints, and in a fast-paced environment
- Work within recognized time frame appropriate to the task
- Follow all safety procedures
- Meets or exceeds productivity standards
- Must adhere to the Hotel's safety standards and procedures (i.e., hearing, eye, hand protection for equipment operation)
- Lift and carry average weight of 20lbs frequently, maximum weight frequently 50lbs
- Standing/walking up to two miles per day on cement, tile, asphalt, and carpet
- Reaching/overhead extension to pull items down. Pushing and pulling average weight frequently 50lbs, maximum weight 150lbs
- Repetitive motions of bending, kneeling, stooping, and twisting
- Regular and reliable attendance and punctuality
- Treating others with respect and behaving in a manner that is positive, productive and encourages teamwork at all times
- Effectively manage time (e.g., time spent per room, planning, prioritizing)
- Follow all appropriate policies and procedures while constantly striving to improve all standards of operation
