Job Summary
Clean, dust, wax, scrub, polish, and service guest rooms daily in accordance with hotel procedures while stocking carts with supplies at shift start and end. Greet all guests, replace linens, replenish amenities, empty wastebaskets, and rearrange furnishings to meet the Executive Housekeeper's uniform arrangement standards. Report any damage, hazards, repairs, or strangers in assigned areas and return found items to the Housekeeping department with full documentation details. Clean all corridors and service areas, manage signed-out keys for the shift, and respond to projects or requests from Housekeeping management. Perform all other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- up to six months related experience or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems in situations
- Must be able to communicate with guests
- Must be able to recognize situations which may involve guests that require immediate supervisory attention
- Must know and use reasonable care for the safety and security of the guests
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25-30 pounds
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
