Job Summary
Review room assignment sheets with the Housekeeping Supervisor at the start of every shift and adhere to safety regulations while cleaning and making up guest rooms. Change linens, ensure amenities are in place, and lock all drapes, sheers, windows, and balcony doors before room completion. Conduct daily inspections for deficiencies, complete maintenance work orders, and check rooms for discrepancies. Turn in lost and found items to the Housekeeping Office immediately and keep the housekeeping cart fully supplied with working equipment. Sort recyclables according to Coast Hotels guidelines and perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper. Work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1-year experience in a similar position
- Successful completion of high school education
- Ability to lift, push and pull a minimum of 40 pounds
- Ability to stand and/or walk for an extended period of time
- Ability to stoop, kneel and reach
- Ability to perform repetitive foot and hand action
- Ability to bend at the waist
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking team environment
- Demonstrated superior customer service philosophy
- Good verbal and written English communication skills
- Able to work a flexible schedule, which includes evenings, weekends and holidays
