Job Summary
Clean hotel guest rooms by vacuuming, refreshing linens, cleaning washrooms, dusting, and cleaning windows. Maintain cleanliness throughout work areas, inspect and distribute linens, change bed linens and towels, and replenish amenities. Operate equipment to launder linens and report maintenance issues to the appropriate department. Respond promptly to guest requests, follow procedures for lost and found items, and maintain guest confidentiality. Work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays while maintaining a neat professional appearance. Prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced resort environment.
Required Qualifications
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects and equipment as needed
- Physical stamina required for prolonged periods of standing, walking, and repetitive motions such as bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching
- Lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy objects and equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, linen bags, and furniture
- Mobility and flexibility to move around the hotel efficiently and access tight spaces within guest rooms, staircases, corridors, and public areas
- Repetitive motions to complete such tasks as making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning surfaces
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in housekeeping a plus, although on-the-job training is available
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and techniques preferred
