Job Summary
Conduct thorough guestroom cleaning according to standards, removing trash and dirty linen while restocking supplies and replenishing chemicals. Maintain clean hallways, public areas, and closets, ensuring rooms are cleaned with doors closed unless requested otherwise. Report missing items and maintenance repairs immediately to supervisors, handling lost-and-found items per standards. Approach all guest and employee interactions attentively, courteously, and service-oriented to ensure overall satisfaction. Attend required meetings and trainings while maintaining regular attendance and high grooming standards. Perform other duties as requested by management to maximize productivity and solve operational problems.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- experience in a hotel or a related field
- Flexible and long hours
- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
- Ability to stand during entire shift
- effectively communicate both verbally and written
- attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner
- effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests
- multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
- Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
