Job Summary
The Room Attendant role focuses on maintaining the cleanliness and overall guest experience at Wayfinder Newport (Newport, RI) as part of Pyramid Global Hospitality. Responsibilities include engaging with guests to ensure their stay is going well, thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing assigned guest areas, daily linens inspections and changes, proper use of cleaning equipment and supplies, maintaining a safe work environment, and reporting hazards. The position emphasizes attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to the Green Program and safety standards. Opportunities for growth into supervisory or management positions (e.g., Housekeeping Supervisors or Executive Housekeeper) are available. The role requires lifting up to 25 lbs, being on one’s feet for extended periods, and weekend/holiday availability. Compensation is $18.00 per hour (annualized to $37,440).
Required Qualifications
- Housekeeping experience desirable

- Ability to read room numbers, dates, and basic instructions
- Ability to move, traverse, position self to reach corners on floors and high places; observe conditions, detect odors, position and navigate carts weighing up to 100 lbs in tight spaces; operate equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads and dusters
- Lift, carry and position loads of at least 25lbs
- Must be available to work on weekends and holidays
