Job Summary
Load and unload roofing materials from delivery trucks using manual and mechanical methods, ensuring all safety guidelines and procedures are followed. Facilitate the safe and effective distribution of materials onto flat and sloped roofs as per company safety guidelines, including operating conveyor belt systems where trained and certified. Accurately verify and reconcile material orders while providing exceptional service to roofing contractors. Work closely with drivers and other team members to coordinate efficient loading and unloading processes, adhering strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company protocols. Physically capable of lifting items up to 100 lbs and working at significant heights outdoors in various weather conditions. Availability includes Monday through Friday with potential overtime based on delivery schedules and peak seasons.
Required Qualifications
- Reliable transportation for commuting
- Authorized to work for any employer in the United States without sponsorship
- Ability to pass criminal and driving background checks
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Proficient in verbal and written communication in English
- Safety awareness with knowledge of OSHA guidelines
- Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Availability to work Monday through Friday
- Ability to work overtime based on delivery schedules and peak seasons
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Physically fit
- Capability to lift heavy items up to 100 lbs
- Ability to operate machinery
- Good balance
- Comfortable working significant heights on varied roof surfaces
