Job Summary
Load and unload roofing materials from delivery trucks using manual and mechanical methods, then facilitate their safe distribution onto flat and sloped roofs. Operate conveyor belt systems to transport building materials from flatbed trucks while ensuring all OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols are followed. Accurately verify and reconcile material orders and provide exceptional service to roofing contractors. Work primarily outdoors on rooftops with significant height exposure and loud machinery noise, lifting items up to 100 lbs. Forklift certification is preferred, and availability includes Monday through Friday with potential overtime based on delivery schedules and peak seasons.
Required Qualifications
- Reliable transportation for commuting
- Authorized to work for any employer in the United States without sponsorship
- Ability to pass criminal and driving background checks
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Proficient in verbal and written communication in English
- Safety awareness with knowledge of OSHA guidelines
- Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Availability to work Monday through Friday
- Capability to lift heavy items up to 100 lbs
- Good balance
- Comfortable working significant heights on varied roof surfaces
- High School Diploma or equivalent
