Roofing Superintendent

Job Summary
Lead day-to-day field operations for multiple roofing projects in and around Calgary; direct, coach, and support foremen and crews, setting daily/weekly production goals and enforcing safety, quality, and productivity. Plan work sequencing, manpower, and equipment needs; coordinate deliveries and logistics. Enforce site safety programs and comply with OH&S regulations. Review drawings, specifications, and work orders; proactively resolve field issues and coordinate with the Project Manager on changes, RFIs, and punch-list items. Maintain clean, secure job sites; verify final roof watertightness and oversee project close-out with foremen. Build and maintain strong relationships with GCs, owners, consultants, and inspectors through clear communication. Prepare daily reports and progress updates; assist with time or production tracking as required.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial or industrial roofing experience, including time as a Foreman or Lead Hand; Superintendent or Site Supervisor experience is strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems (e.g., SBS, BUR, TPO, EPDM, metal) and related details, flashing, and tie-ins
- Proven ability to manage multiple crews and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced construction environment
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, with experience leading safety talks and enforcing site safety standards
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; calm under pressure and solutions-focused with clients and internal teams
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel between job sites in the Calgary region
