Roofing Service Technician responsibilities include handling service requests from customers via the Service Scheduler, conducting on-site visits to assess issues, proposing corrective actions (with up-sell opportunities when appropriate), determining billing at visit, completing repairs estimated under $2,000, coordinating material orders and ensuring the truck is stocked, delivering workmanship that meets company standards, processing payments when applicable, and communicating outcomes to customers and internal teams. The role emphasizes field service, customer interaction, revenue opportunities, coordination with the Sales Scheduler and Billing Specialist, and adherence to safety and company procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree
- 5+ years of experience in home building, remodeling, or related markets as skilled tradesman, independent contractor, or project manager
- Demonstrated ability to understand contracts for construction services or financing
- Basic understanding of home insurance and claims processing
- Strong math skills (4-function)
- CRM system experience (service-oriented) including mobile access
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing information
- Valid driver’s license with no restrictions for company use
- Reliable personal vehicle for start of day
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local construction service pricing and invoicing
- No restrictions preventing work in the US for any US company
