Job Summary
Inspect problem roofs, perform repairs, and conduct preventative maintenance on low-slope roofing systems while strictly adhering to safety protocols. Drive a company vehicle to client sites daily, loading and unloading materials from varied heights and shoveling loose debris like gravel or snow. Communicate clearly with clients regarding repairs and recommendations, responding to management direction and completing tasks on time. This role requires a minimum of one year in roofing or construction, a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel up to four weeks at a time. Candidates must work in extreme weather conditions, including frequent ladder use from 10 to 40 feet, and be available for weekend and overtime shifts. Simon Roofing offers extensive paid training, a salary range of $23–$29 per hour, and annual safety and performance bonuses.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of relevant roofing or construction experience, or military experience
- Driver's License
- 21 years of age or older
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- Ability to travel out of town, for up to 4 weeks at a time, when local work is not available
- Must be able to work overtime in emergency situations
- Weekend work as needed
- Ability to communicate effectively through written correspondence and verbally in English
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time on a regular basis throughout the day
- Must be able to frequently ascend/descend ladder from 10 to 40' in height
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time
- Must be able to work in varied extreme weather conditions (extreme hot and extreme cold weather)
- Must be able to load and unload material and equipment and materials from variant heights
- Must be able to shovel loose materials such as gravel, sand metal snow, or dirt
- Must be professional, presentable, and a good communicator
