Job Summary
Review roofing applications for code compliance, perform inspections, and enforce roofing protocols. Document daily construction activities and interface with owner building officials, designers, and municipality officials regarding plan reviews and permits. Reject incomplete submittals and detect non-compliance situations to rectify them. Conduct inspections of construction foundations, structural elements, and building systems to ensure adherence to the Florida Building Code and applicable local amendments. Maintain excellent oral communications skills and the ability to interpret technical information from manuals, drawings, and schematics.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years experience in the construction field
- Knowledgeable of the Florida Building Code
- State of Florida Commercial Roofing Inspector License
Desired Qualifications
- Building plan review and/or inspection experience is desirable
- State of Florida Building Inspector and/or Plan Reviewer license is desirable
