Job Summary
Assist roofers with day-to-day roofing repairs and maintenance, including stripping, repairing, and replacing tiles, slates, flat roofs, gutters, and fascias. Load, unload, and safely move roofing materials, tools, and equipment while preparing work areas to ensure sites remain clean and safe. Follow all health and safety procedures, including working safely at height, and use tools correctly to protect residents' property and minimize disruption in occupied homes. Report defects, hazards, or additional work requirements to the supervisor and complete tasks to required quality and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a labourer, roofer's mate or in a construction/maintenance environment
- A willingness to learn and develop roofing skills
- Good understanding of basic health and safety requirements
- Ability to work safely at height and follow instructions
- Good physical fitness
- A reliable, punctual and positive approach to work
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A professional manner when working in residents' homes
Desired Qualifications
- A valid driving licence
