Job Summary
Undertake roofing repairs, maintenance, and installations on pitched and flat roofs, including tiles, slates, felt, leadwork, fascias, soffits, and guttering. Diagnose defects and implement effective repair solutions for both planned works on void properties and responsive repairs in occupied homes. Work at height safely using access equipment, scaffolding, and fall-arrest systems while recording completed works via mobile technology. Ensure all tasks meet statutory compliance and leave properties in a tenant-ready state. Full UK driving licence required; NVQ Level 2/3 in Roofing Occupations or equivalent. Based in Launceston and surrounding areas.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Roofer, ideally within social housing or domestic repairs
- Good knowledge of pitched and flat roofing systems, materials, and repair techniques
- Understanding of health & safety requirements, including working at height and asbestos awareness
- Ability to diagnose defects and provide cost-effective repair solutions
- Full UK driving licence
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-trade team
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Roofing Occupations or equivalent trade qualification
