Job Summary
Romanian Linguist opening under Yorktown Systems Group, Inc. (YSG) and The Unconventional (TU) for Language Support Services (LSS). Roles involve interpretation (in-person and virtual), translation of written/audio/video materials, document review/editing, and foreign language instruction. Open evergreen requisition across YSG/TU for current and future requirements; candidates may be considered for a range of language support roles across the portfolio as opportunities arise. Travel may be required; location listed as Remote Operations Support with Huntsville, AL as a primary site. Security considerations include CAT I/II/III classifications with appropriate government vetting and clearance implications.
Required Qualifications
- Must be qualified/certified in CAT I/II/III as specified
- ILR level 2+ in English for CAT I/II/III
- CAT III requires ILR level 3 in English and possible TS/SCI or interim TS clearance for SECRET access
- Ability to provide idiomatic translations and consecutive interpretation
- Ability to live and work in harsh environments and under high pressure
- Experience providing foreign language instruction to adult students
- Fluency in English and foreign language with regionalisms and slang
