Job Summary
The Rolling Mill Utility Helper will assist in all facets of the Rolling Mill and Finishing Mill, including cleaning scrap steel and debris, operating remote control cranes, and performing miscellaneous duties as directed. Key responsibilities include detecting and reporting faulty materials and environmental hazards, following all safety regulations, and utilizing various tools and equipment such as cutting torches and forklifts. Candidates should have at least 2 years of general labor experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to maintain a clean work area. A flexible work schedule is required.
Required Qualifications
- 2 or more years of general labor experience within a construction, industrial or manufacturing environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to keep a work area clean
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule
Desired Qualifications
- Previous crane remote operating experience
