Job Summary
Unload and load roll stock material from trucks using a roll clamp truck, staging rolls through SAP and preparing sheeters with necessary materials. Tape damaged rolls to prevent harborage points per SQF requirements, then deliver stock to sheeters while managing plastic pallets. Remove sheeted stock, double-stack in proper lanes, and assist operators to maintain continuous machine runs during breaks. Maintain SAP inventory using aged-first principles, complete weekly roll bin cycle counts, and handle general housekeeping by collecting and disposing of paper, metal waste, and cores. Bring sheeted stock to the pressroom and remove printed loads. Maintain PIV certification and speak, read, and write English.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- GED
- Ability to speak, read and write in English
- Some clamp truck experience
- Ability to work alternate schedules
- Ability to work overtime
- Ability to work early mornings, nights, and/or weekends
- Punctuality
- Physical coordination to operate roll clamp truck
- Ability to lift cores approx. 50 - 60 lbs.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Ability to perform awkward and/or repetitive movements
- Ability to walk
- Ability to handle (removing roll covers)
- Ability to push (paperboard rolls)
- Ability to interact (communicating with operator)
- Ability to read computer screen or other electronic devices
- Ability to use various hand and electrical tools and equipment
- Ability to follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures related to Safe Quality Foods
- Ability to report to person of authority to record potentially unsafe conditions related to SQF
- Ability to participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions as required
- Ability to follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF)
- Ability to report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority
