Job Summary
Maintain paper roll inventory on presses, order correct quantities, and shift rolls to the press. Set up splicers for continuous feed, hang plates, fill ink fountains, and check conductivity. Perform initial checkout and act as second press operator where required. Diagnose and repair complex electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues on production equipment to minimize downtime. Read schematics and ladder logic to isolate faults, perform preventative and corrective maintenance, and document activities. Enter shop floor data into the computer and handle hazardous waste as part of daily functions. Work 12-hour night shifts with overtime potential in a safe, team-first culture focused on reliability improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal
- Must be dependable, reliable and responsible in fulfilling obligations
- Must work well with others
- Must be flexible and open to change when needed
- Able to follow instructions and make decisions
- Must be proven self-starter to complete projects/work orders
- Must have some printing experience
- The ability to work 10-to-12-hour shifts
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 1-year Press Room experience
- Ability to interpret and utilize various units of measure and their conversions
