Job Summary
Diagnose and repair complex electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues on production equipment to minimize downtime; read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics, and ladder logic to isolate faults; perform preventative and corrective maintenance using a full range of hand/power tools and test equipment; collaborate with production to prioritize work orders, support changeovers, and reduce repeat failures; document maintenance activities and recommend reliability improvements; participate in setup activities such as make-ready and hanging plates, and manage paper rolls and ink fountains for continuous press operation; maintain shop-floor data and ensure safety in a 12-hour night-shift production environment; pursue paid training and cross-training across electrical/mechanical systems with opportunities for advancement.
Required Qualifications
- Must have some printing experience
- Minimum 1-year Press Room experience
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
- The ability to work 10-to-12-hour shifts
- Ability to interpret and utilize various units of measure and their conversions
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal
- Must be dependable, reliable and responsible in fulfilling obligations
- Must work well with others
- Must be flexible and open to change when needed
- Able to follow instructions and make decisions
- Must be proven self-starter to complete projects/work orders
