Roll-Off Driver

Job Summary
Operate roll-off trucks safely while adhering to traffic laws and company policies, maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Conduct thorough daily pre-trip inspections to ensure equipment safety, identify defects, and report maintenance issues to the team. Secure and tarp loads as required, follow designated routes provided by Dispatch, and communicate with customers to confirm container placement. Comply with Hours of Service regulations, maintain electronic logs, and report delays or safety concerns promptly. Perform this work Monday to Friday in 10-12 hour shifts with alternating Saturdays, starting at 6:00 am, across a regional travel area. YORK1 provides sustainable waste management solutions across Ontario.
Required Qualifications
- Valid AZ driver's license
- Minimum of 3 years clean commercial driving experience
- Competence in driving manual (stick shift) trucks
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws
- Strong knowledge of Hours of Service (HOS) regulations
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures
- Experience operating roll-off trucks
- Experience operating mini roll-off trucks
- Experience operating flatbed trucks
- Willingness to train candidates with transferable experience
- Ability to conduct daily pre-trip inspections
- Ability to identify defects
- Ability to report maintenance issues
- Skill in securing loads
