Job Summary
Operate one or more vehicle types with automatic and standard transmission to collect solid waste, yard waste, and recyclables on routes that may vary daily. Complete pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections, daily truck reports, and route sheets, while maintaining accurate records of services performed. Follow all safety standards, equipment checks, and company rules to eliminate driver-induced mechanical failures and comply with federal, state, provincial, and local regulations. Demonstrate the ability to safely maneuver the truck into and out of minimum clearance spaces, exerting muscle force up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques. Maintain a valid Commercial Driver's License and provide documentation confirming eligibility to work in the country prior to start.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License
- Must be able to meet relevant criteria for safety sensitive functions according to Company standards
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment
- Minimum one (1) years of commercial driving experience OR CDL school certificate
- Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located
- Ability to exert muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry objects up to 50 pounds repetitively using proper lifting techniques
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Class 1a license
