Job Summary
Carry training aids to be detected by canines in simulated or actual working environments for the Customs and Border Protection, Canine Training Center. Hide in closed spaces such as vehicle trunks, closets, or dense vegetation while lying, sitting, or standing quietly for extended periods up to one hour. Demonstrate no fear of canines and adhere to a dress code. Submit to and pass a criminal background check. US citizens aged 18 or older with a current REAL ID are required. Work 6-8 hours two days per week at $15.50/hr with no minimum hour guarantee.
Required Qualifications
- Must have the ability to hide in closed spaces (i.e. vehicle trunks, closets, dense vegetation, etc.)
- Must be able to lie, sit, and/or stand quietly for an extended period of time (up to one hour)
- Should not have fear of canines
- Must be US Citizens
- 18 years or older
- Must have a current REAL ID
- Must be willing to adhere to a dress code
- Must submit to and pass a criminal background check
