Job Summary
Operate CDL A trucks and equipment to deliver materials while conducting pre- and post-trip inspections, fueling, washing, and completing DVIRs. Secure loads, use radio and customer tags, and practice defensive driving to maintain a hazard-free environment. Report equipment or safety concerns immediately, clock in/out at shift start/end, and wear required PPE and clean uniform. Work Tuesday through Saturday from 4:30am to 12:30pm in year-round outdoor conditions, lifting up to 90 lbs occasionally. Maintain valid CDL A license, medical card, and acceptable MVR, with 2 years driving experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL A license
- Required CDL driver qualifications
- Current medical card
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Must be available to work holidays as needed
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs routinely and up to 90 lbs occasionally
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and climb into or out of trucks or equipment
- Must be able to use hands and fingers for repetitive grasping, lifting, and reaching tasks
- Must be able to work year-round outdoor work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold
- Must be able to comply with all safety regulations and company driving standards
- Must be able to practice legal and defensive driving at all times
- Must be able to work independently, meeting deadlines and performance expectations without close supervision
- Must be able to report any safety or quality concerns to the supervisor immediately
- Must be able to utilize all appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with safety policies
- Must be able to clock in at the beginning and out at the end of each scheduled shift
- Must be able to report to work as scheduled and wear a clean employee uniform
- Must be able to make safety a priority at all times
- Must be able to be courteous and professional with all customers, both internal and external
- Must be able to report any concerns regarding equipment, routes, or customers to a Lead or Manager
- Must be able to work in the field, requiring daily travel between locations
- Must be able to handle potential exposure to waste materials, including blood-borne pathogens, insects, animals, and other environmental hazards
- Must be able to handle moderate to loud noise levels depending on location and equipment
