Job Summary
Review requestor information against HIPAA guidelines to determine records for release, obtaining pertinent data from electronic, off-site, or physical sources. Answer phone calls regarding ROI issues and process walk-in customer requests by logging details into the ROI On-Line database. Respond to physician office requests on a priority basis, faxing information as needed, and scan medical records into the database. Handle and record cash payments for requests at specified client sites while complying with facility policies. Work independently to meet production goals in a fully on-site role in Doylestown, PA.
Required Qualifications
- One or more years experience entering data into computer systems
- Experience using the internet
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated success responding to customer inquiries
- Ability to work independently and meet production goals
- Demonstrated success working in an environment that requires attention to detail
- Proven track record of dependability
- High School Diploma/GED
Desired Qualifications
- Prior work experience in Release of Information in a physician's office or HIM Department
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
